Development

The Development Department plans for and administers grants awarded to the City for both community and economic development.

  • The Community Development Office is responsible for fiscal and programmatic administration of grant programs including the Community Development Block Grant Program, and handles grant-related project administration.

  • Economic Development programs administered by the department include the Franklin Redevelopment Authority Loan Program, the Oil Region Enterprise Zone Program, and other miscellaneous grant programs, as directed by the City Manager.

  • The Development Department coordinates with other City departments to ensure desirable planning and growth of the community.
