"Shine a Light on Suicide" Night Kayak

 

The Venango County Suicide Prevention Task Force's Speak Up Squad is hosting its eighth annual Night Kayak from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, August 23, at Two Mile Run County Park to raise awareness for suicide prevention.

Participants will take out their own kayaks, unload them and then proceed to decorate them with lights and anything else they deem appropriate. We have two decorating contests where each winner receives a new kayak, life jacket and oars.

There will be a memorial board set up for those who would like to write a note to their loved one who was lost to suicide.

There also will be hot dogs, popcorn, chips, and water.
