Invitation For Bids - Bid for CDBG Funded Playground Improvements

The City of Franklin will receive bids for CDBG Playground Improvements at the Community Development Dept., Room 211, City Hall, 430 – 13th Street, Franklin, PA 16323, until 10 AM prevailing time on April 24, 2024, at which time the bids will be opened and read. Work is described in general but is not limited to demolition and disposal of existing playground equipment, site preparation, poured-in-place surfacing, and furnishing and installation of new playground equipment and basketball hoops.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a firm-fixed-price basis. Qualifications of the Bidder will be reviewed before the Award of the Contract. Bids may be held by the City for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, or to negotiate contract amounts.

To obtain an electronic copy of the bidding documents and to be added to the plan holder’s list, contact Anthony Parks at 814.437.1922 x 1126 between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM or via email at aparks@franklinpa.gov. Bids will only be received from bidders who obtain bidding documents from the City’s Issuing Office and are on the plan holder’s list.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be conducted at the playground located at the corner of 11th and Buffalo Streets on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 10 AM.
