The City of Franklin Street Department will be picking up leaves with the vacuum machines this week in the following areas:

Monday 17, 2025 Elk St. Odd Side 11th to 1st St. Both sides of 2nd St. & 200 block of Egbert St.

Also, bagged leaf pick-up throughout the city.

 

Tuesday 18, 2025 Elk St. Even Side 1st to 11th St. Liberty St. 11th to 1st St. Odd Side.

 

Wednesday 19, 2025 Liberty St. Even Side 1st St to 11th St. Buffalo St. Odd Side 11th to 1st St.

 

Thursday 20, 2025 Buffalo St. Even Side 1st St. to 11th St. Chestnut St. Odd Side of 11th to 10th , 10th St. Odd Side, 9th St. Even side.

 

Friday 21, 2025 Chestnut St. Even Side 10th to 11th St., 10th St. Even side 9th St. Odd Side, Even Side 8th to 6th St. , 4th St. Odd Sides of 7th, 5th and 3rd St.

Also, bagged leaf pick-up throughout the city.

 

 

 

Further weekly schedules will be posted in every Saturday's News Herald. Residents are asked to rake their leaves to the edge of their front lawns, not on the street, for pick-up by the city crews. Mechanical breakdowns or inclement weather may cause some delays or rescheduling. The city will also be picking up paper biodegradable bags of leaves (no plastic bags) on Monday and Friday of this week. If you have any questions, call the City Garage Monday thru Friday from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at 437-1600. Our residents are reminded to please observe the temporary No Parking signs to keep from getting ticketed. Thank you for your cooperation.
