The jewel in Downtown Franklin’s arts and culture crown is the fully restored Barrow-Civic Theatre. The Barrow presents noteworthy performances in a theater that does not have a bad seat in the house.  Downtown Franklin is also home to DeBence Antique Music World, a unique museum of over 100 antique mechanical instruments and calliopes.  St. John’s Episcopal Church provides tours of its collection of 30 brilliant, authentic Tiffany stained glass windows completed in 1917 (only 6 other churches survive today with a complete collection).  Multiple outdoor concerts are held weekly throughout the summer months. Franklin is proud to be home to the Franklin Silver Cornet Band, one of the oldest volunteer bands in the entire country.  Franklin is blessed with popular restaurants and unique mom and pop shops. A Self-Guided Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Franklin is available to visitors.  All of this happens in Historic Downtown Franklin on Liberty Street – voted one of the 10 Great Streets of America in 2010 and one of the 10 Great Places in PA in 2017.

Franklin is a Bicycle-Friendly Community with miles of scenic trails and waterways.
