Employment

Full Time Police Officer – City of Franklin, PA

 

Applications are being accepted for the position of Full-Time Police Officer in Franklin, Pennsylvania. An application packet is available to download at the bottom of this page. All application and exam fees are being waived.

 

Candidates must meet the following requirements: be a U.S. Citizen, be at least 21 years of age at the time of application, possess a high school diploma or GED, be physically and mentally fit to perform all duties of a police officer, process a valid driver’s license, and be Pennsylvania ACT 120 Certified. Successful applicants must pass a physical fitness test, written test, oral interview, background investigation, and a motor vehicle record check.  Veterans’ points apply.

A physical fitness test will be given in person at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Franklin High School, 246 Pone Lane, Franklin, PA 16323. All applicants who successfully complete the PT test will be required to complete a written exam, followed by an oral interview, to be held immediately following the PT test at FICDA, 191 Howard Street, Franklin, PA 16323.  Further instructions will be provided to qualified applicants.
